Ok, in light of another topic / thread I have a proposal:
I have a RefreshaBraille 18 display, one of the originals. Bought it nearly new from another user, but it has been well taken care of. Its battery will be fully charged and the cells cleaned using isopropyl alcohol -- a technique I have used for years -- before I send it.
Comes with original box, a USB cable, a case from APH which I bought for it, and a leather camera strap which matches it and I used. The strap is because the case doesn't come with one, and has metal leash style fasteners.
Anyway, willing to trade down in number of cells in order to get a unit with thumb keys and Bluetooth, must work with iOS devices.
Open to a notetaker (must have Braille display) that supports Dropbox -- but must have Bluetooth functionality and must have thumb keys and a keyboard, would do Braille or Qwerty input provided the QWEWRTY can be made to work with iOS.
I'm not that versed on all the different displays out there and the notetakers, as was evident by the Notetakers thread. So, I'm up for being educated on what's available.
The reason I'm wanting to part with the RefreshaBraille is that I can't read for long periods of time on it without getting hand fatigue: it has no thumb keys. If you want to use your thumbs to pan, you have to use dots 2 chord and dots 5 chord respectively -- at least on iOS.
Otherwise, if you're wanting to upgrade from 14 cells or so to 18 or some other reason to part with what you got, let me know by a pM on here.
Thanks,
Leo
Are you willing to sell the display?
No, I need a display, so am only willing to trade.
